The Parents
Sire – Jet
Jet is a powerful, well-built male weighing approximately 40–42kg in fit working condition.
He was bred by a close colleague from a VomSirius-bred female and our stud male Kylo, carrying forward generations of our breeding program.
As an Ace grandson, Jet represents the type we consistently aim to produce — strong in structure, clear-headed, and reliable in both temperament and work.
Dam
Mayhem is a lean, athletic 30–32kg female with high drive, strong environmental confidence, and natural alertness.

Bred here at VomSirius from Vomsirius True Grit (Hunter) and Kovacs Olexa (Elsa), she represents the balance we aim to produce — active, driven, and highly capable, without sacrificing stability.
She is clear-headed, responsive, and reliable — traits that consistently carry through to her puppies.
Why Our Bloodlines
At VomSirius, our breeding program is built around consistency, not chance.
These dogs are not randomly paired — each litter is planned with a clear goal: to produce German Shepherds with strong structure, stable temperaments, and real working ability.
Our lines have been developed over generations, selecting for:
- Clear, stable nerves
- Strong, correct structure
- Natural drive with the ability to switch off
- Trainability and engagement with their handler
We don’t breed for extremes.
We breed dogs that can live in the real world — capable of working, protecting, and being part of a family.
Purpose-Bred, Not Just Produced.
Every breeding is selected to complement strengths and improve on weaknesses.
This means:
- Thoughtful pairing of sire and dam
- Focus on long-term outcomes, not just the current litter
- Consistency across generations, not unpredictable results
The goal is simple — to produce dogs that are:
- Reliable in temperament
- Capable in work or sport
- Stable in everyday environments
What That Means for You
When you choose a VomSirius German Shepherd, you’re not just choosing a puppy — you’re choosing a predictable foundation.
These puppies are bred to grow into:
- Confident, stable adults
- Loyal family companions
- Naturally protective dogs without unnecessary reactivity
- Trainable, engaged partners
With the right raising and guidance, they become dogs you can live with, work with, and rely on.
Our Standard
We don’t aim to produce more puppies — we aim to produce better dogs, every generation.
Frequently Asked Questions
Are your German Shepherd puppies good with families?
Yes — many of our puppies are well suited to active family homes.
We prioritise stable temperaments and clear-headed dogs that can integrate into real life. That said, these are not low-energy dogs — they thrive in homes that provide structure, engagement, and guidance.
Are they aggressive or overly protective?
No. Our focus is on stable, thinking dogs, not reactive or unstable behaviour. Occasionally we plan a litter that is intended more for trained professionals but we don’t offer these pups to families in general.
Most of our litters are naturally protective and alert, but with the right raising, they develop into controlled, reliable companions, not unpredictable dogs.
Do they need a working home?
Not always.
While they come from working lines and have strong ability, many do very well in active pet homes that:
- Provide training and engagement
- Understand drive and structure
Higher-drive puppies may be better suited to working, sport, or experienced homes.
What is the difference between working line and show line German Shepherds?
Working line German Shepherds are bred for:
- Generally a straight back less angulation
- Function and performance
- Drive and trainability
- Strong nerves and resilience
Show lines are often bred more for appearance.
At VomSirius, we focus on dogs that can perform, think, and live in real environments.
Are short coat German Shepherds easier to maintain?
Yes — short coats are generally lower maintenance than long coats.
They:
- Require less grooming
- Are easier to manage day-to-day
- Are often preferred for working environments
How are your puppies raised?
All puppies are raised on acreage in Queensland with a strong focus on early development.
They are exposed to:
- Everyday environments
- Structured socialisation
- Early confidence-building experiences

This creates puppies that are adaptable and easier to raise.
How do I secure a puppy?
We operate from a waiting list.

- Suitability
- Temperament
- Order of commitment
We recommend enquiring early.
